FIRE.216 Too Busy Part 2

Today in my “commute” I was thinking through the Ben Franklin quote I just read about “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.”

I started thinking about being “busy” or “too busy” again and the slant of being non-productive, or not fully productiveLazy vs Lazer focused on what I want?   I guess that calls for a “part 2” post.

The retiree success of “I did THREE things today” is real-life stuff in retirement for many.

Too Busy, Really?

I was thinking about required schedules.

I was thinking about how several people I know have left their careers (FIREd) and have podcasts.  The podcasts often have a schedule or maybe just some consistency to them.  These are not a job, a business, a main focus, a purpose, perhaps just a passion, and interest, something to give to the ethos.

I do miss listening to some podcasts which—and it could be me—seem like they had a schedule and are no longer following said scheduleGood for them!

So: Mindy on Money, Mark’s Money Mind, Two Sides of FI, Mile Hi Fi, etc. If you are out there living a great life and are too busy to stop and record shows—good for you!

I’m sure it’s easier for other content creators to truly understand the time, effort, and money—all the tools and hosting—that these efforts cost you.  If you have something more of a “Hell Yes” to do, then by all means do that.  Isn’t that what this whole freedom, FIRE, and GoGo stage of life should be about?  Or at least a large chunk of this time?

One last thought – schedules (can) suck!
