Most of the time, my wife asks me something or to do something; I tend to say, “I’m in the middle of something.”  I heard it in a hotel once while watching King of Queens, and that Kevin was flexing in front of the mirror.    It seemed so perfect in my mind–being self-absorbed in a hilarious way. 

Update.  I wanted to see if I could find the clip as I remembered it.  Well, of course the interweb had the exact clip I remember listed first (above), but Google also mentioned that it’s a recurring statement in the show.  That makes me happy because it recurs in our home all the time.

What’s my point/thought?

I find great satisfaction in being able to assign my time to my interests.  I love not having a job or boss dictating my schedule.
